Seibukan Jujutsu Ranking System
The Seibukan Jujutsu promotion system is a unique hybrid of the KyuDan and Menkyo methods of advancement. Seibukan Jujutsu is structured with a progressive building block model, with step by step progression geared to the needs of modern times. Our learning and advancement model is designed to empower students with the ability to set their own goals. Self paced learning has proven to enable students to feel secure in their journey and often results in accelerated progress. The goal for each student is to experience their full potential as they progress through each of 7 Gates of Seibukan Jujutsu™.
The structure is divided into two categories: Kyu and Dan. The kyu levels apply to students called “Mudansha”, who have not yet attained the first level of black belt. The dan levels refer to students who hold black-belt rank, known as “Yudansha”. A minimum of one year is required to achieve black belt level and each level thereafter.
